I was assigned to the important work of redesigning the website of the famous royal hotel based in the beutiful Tuscany.
An intimate shelter for privacy lovers
Il Bottaccio has been transformed into a boutique 5 star hotel in Tuscany as a result of the careful restoration of the old XVIIIth century water mill. An oasis of wellbeing, near the beaches and shops of Forte dei Marmi.
The previous site of the bottaccio presented some critical issues including the organization of the contents. My work started with defining a clear sitemap that would make it easier for the user to find the right information
Design is also emotions
The purpose of the design for some projects goes beyond the functional aspects but aims to convey emotions to the users
Colors have been designed to best match with the images and give that feeling of warmth
The design emphasizes the features of each room so that the visitor can opt for the best choice
All the services offered have been highlighted, room by room
A completely new version of the website
The site empowers user to discover the best choice for him
The room is represented in all its features to immerse the visitor inside the bottaccio through the text and images but above all to make him feel emotions as if he were there
An overview of the Route du Bonheur typical of the hotel in the relais and chateaux group
A new navigation
For the website I faced the problem of managing a large amount of information. The proposed solution is a dual full screen menu that offers hotel items on the right and additional information on the left
A strengthening of an already strong identity
Tackling the redesign of a historic brand is a challenge because it means modernizing the experience without changing the historic brand.
The rooms are shown alternately showing the strengths for each
A part of the homepage that show gallery and the main services of Bottaccio
