A voice-first finance app, redesigned around a calmer daily habit. Speak an expense, understand your spending and make room for your goals. Designed and built across mobile and web.

01The challenge
No forms. No friction.
Logging an expense should not feel like admin. Forms, category lists and repeated taps put work between a purchase and the habit of recording it. Sumet starts with a spoken sentence. The app parses the amount, merchant and category, then lets you review the entry. The redesign brings that same simplicity to the rest of the product: a clear monthly overview, legible reports and goals you can keep in sight.

HomeYour money, at a glance.
ReportSee where it all goes.
GoalsGive progress a place.
The redesign gives each view a clear job. Home puts the monthly total, recent activity and quick actions first. Report gives category distribution room to breathe, with trends and period controls close by. Goals turns future plans into visible progress. Mint panels group related information, forest green anchors the main actions, and the floating navigation keeps the daily loop easy to reach.
An interface that listens.
A living green form makes the listening state visible. The action stays simple: start speaking, finish when ready, or switch to manual entry. Motion gives feedback while the rest of the screen stays quiet.
Natural input. Voice capture puts the amount, merchant and category into an entry you can review.
Readable hierarchy. Larger totals, quiet surfaces and fewer competing accents make the important information easier to find.
A connected system. Mobile and web share a visual language while adapting to different tasks and screen sizes.
03The dashboard
The deep dive belongson the big screen.
Sumet keeps the daily habit on the phone and moves analysis to the web. Income, expenses, savings and category budgets arrive already synced, ready for a monthly review or a precise edit.
One visual language. Mint surfaces, forest green controls and generous type connect the mobile app to a roomier desktop workspace.
A closer look. Category distribution, comparisons and cash flow charts turn the monthly totals into something you can explore.
A useful time frame. Move between months or choose a period, then export the records you need for a closer review.
04The intelligence
An advisor, not a spreadsheet
Sumet AI adds a conversational layer to the ledger. The redesigned assistant begins with a compact monthly summary: expenses, income, balance and the largest category, with the selected period kept in view. The same quiet surfaces and clear hierarchy carry into the conversation. Suggested prompts make the next question easier, while the numbers stay close to the explanation.
- 01
Start with your month.
The summary brings expenses, income and balance together, with the period and largest category made explicit.
- 02
Ask the next question.
Suggested prompts help you explore spending and categories without having to build a report first.
- 03
Keep the context visible.
Totals, dates and categories sit alongside the answer. The interface makes the basis of the summary easy to read.

- Uber to office, $14
- Netflix renewed $15.99
- Dinner with Alex, $62

06The visual language
Make room for the numbers.
Sumet makes everyday money easier to read through a restrained green palette, clear type and generous cards. Amounts lead the composition; categories, labels and progress provide the context around them.

Let amounts lead the reading order.
Large, bold figures sit above smaller labels and supporting detail. Inter connects the mobile and web interfaces with a consistent type hierarchy.
Use green at different intensities.
Mint gives summary cards a calm backdrop. Deeper greens carry actions and emphasis, while pastel category colours help distinguish groups in reports.
Give each task a familiar shape.
Rounded cards group balances, reports and goals. Pill controls and consistent spacing carry across screens, leaving the strongest motion for feedback during voice capture.
07The outcome
Just speak. Sumet tracks it.
Sumet is live on iOS and Android with the web dashboard alongside. Product, UX and UI, voice pipeline, AI advisor and sync were designed and built by one person, demonstrating how code can extend product design from intent to a working system.
